The main theme song and additional cast have been revealed for the anime television series A Who's Way Up to an Exploration Hero. The anime will air in Japan with the double episode premiering on July 6, 2024, with the second episode onwards streaming a week early on the ABEMA streaming service.
The anime's opening song is “Up Start” by Amatsuki and the ending song is “Strobe Fantasy” by May'n.
Meanwhile, additional actors joining the series include Yoshino Aoyama as Airi Jinguuji, Saika Kitamori as Miku Moriyama, and Azusa Tsugimori as Hikari Tanabe.
They join the anime's voice cast to date including:

Tomoki Kobayashi (Remake Our Life) is directing the anime, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu ('Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess) as writer, Sachiko Yasuda (Our Happy Marriage) as character designer and Keiji Inai ( Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion) as composer. Gekko is in charge of producing the animation.
The anime adaptation is based on the fantasy light novel written by Kaito and illustrated by Arumikku, which first began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on April 9, 2019. It was later published by HJ's Hobby Japan Bunko imprinted on July 1, 2021, and released eight volumes in February 2024. The light novel also inspired a manga adaptation by Terio Teri in August 2021.

A Nothing's Way Up to an Exploration Hero focuses on ordinary high school student Kaito Takagi, a typical mob scene character. One day, mysterious dungeons start appearing in Japan and Kaito begins hunting slimes every day while admiring his childhood friend from afar. His luck changes after he defeats a yellow slime, which gives him a super rare summoning item called the Servant Card. Using his newfound treasure, he summons a beautiful female warrior to change his destiny.
