The X account (formerly Twitter) of IID's Seiyū Animedia magazine announced on Monday that the magazine will cease publication, the upcoming Summer issue will be the magazine's last as it is released on June 10.
The magazine will announce the fate of its current editions at a later date. Anime and dub topics will continue to be published in the main Animedia magazine and on Anime! Cartoon! website.
Seiyū Animedia launched in 2004 and provides news about the dubbing industry, focusing mainly on anime and video games. The magazine is a sister magazine to the general anime magazine Animedia.
IID, the media company that operates Anime! Cartoon! and cartoons! Cartoon! News sites Biz, acquired Animedia, Seiyū Animedia, and monthly men's anime magazine Megami Magazine from former publisher Gakken Plus in December 2019. IID also acquired “mooks” (books). magazine) published other irregularities and Chō! Gakken Plus's Animedia website.
Seiyū Animedia has switched to a quarterly publishing schedule starting September 2023.
