Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which focuses on the relationship between the main character and Ramona Flowers. The show is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on November 17, 2023.
Spanish animator Abel Góngora (director of Star Wars: Visions: “T0-B1”) will direct the animated series alongside original creator Bryan Lee O’Malley, who directed the film 2010 live-action Edgar Wright and BenDavid Grabinski are executive producers. Joseph Trapanese and chiptune pop rock band Anamanaguchi are composing the music. Science SARU is handling main animation production for the series, with Eunyoung Choi serving as producer.
The voice cast includes many actors from the original 2010 film, including:

O’Malley’s original graphic novel series was published by Oni Press from August 18, 2004 to July 20, 2010. A total of six volumes were released. The series also inspired mobile adaptations of video games and comics.
An earlier animated short titled Scott Pilgrim vs The Animation was produced by Titmouse Inc. production aired on Adult Swim on August 12, 2010.
