This week's episode of Sand Land has one main purpose: plot. While we've known about the coup since the first episode of the season, this episode shows us those events from a variety of perspectives—in the process, our villains has grown significantly for this part.
Take Bred for example. He was a general who was at odds with his peace-loving king. During a skirmish on the border with Sand Land, he was so injured that he had to become a robot. He believed that only military might could stop his country's aggressive neighbor. So when he was given a perfect reason to take the throne, he did so.
From the way he acts, it's clear that he considers himself a hero—someone willing to do what's necessary to protect his country (unlike his foolish former king). . While he may not believe that Lilith is evil (as much as he believes that Muniel is good), he is willing to take advantage of anyone and everyone to further his goal of achieving military power. peerless.
Then, on the other side, we have Muniel's story. Unsurprisingly given what we've seen of him so far, he's a rogue angel—one who stole weapons from heaven to make a name for himself on Earth. Of course, the ego he has to make him believe that it's a good idea is the same ego that pushed him to go to war with Lucifer—which literally got his wings clipped in the first place.
Basically, Muniel is an idiot—the kind of person who is easy to manipulate as long as you tell him exactly what he wants to hear. He is so sure that he is a good person that he believes that all of his actions are justifiable no matter how objectively evil they may be. When confronted about his actions, he blames or claims it wasn't his fault because he “didn't know.”
And as we learn about our villains, we also get another big reveal: that mother Ann is Lilith, Princess of Demons. Of course, this makes Beelzebub her uncle but it also implies that she can also absorb darkness in addition to her natural powers and healing abilities. Unfortunately for our heroes, there's little time to delve into the implications as Bred and Muniel attack the demons in the Sand Land—capturing Lucifer the same way they captured Lilith.
You know how I said last week that our heroes are at their lowest point? I'm wrong. Now they are at their lowest point and all I can think is one thing,”Time to get the tank.”
