During this year’s New York Comic Con, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled the English dub trailer for their upcoming game based on Akira Toriyama’s SAND LAND manga.
The trailer also introduces the game’s English voice cast. The action role-playing game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The game’s plot takes place in an arid desert world, ravaged by a severe water scarcity, affecting both humans and demons. Players will take on the roles of the Demon Prince, Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao, and a cunning demon thief as they embark on a journey to discover the elusive legendary Spring hidden in the arid landscape.
Beelzebub, who claims to be a “super evil devil”, possesses childlike innocence along with his superhuman strength and telepathic abilities. Chief Rao, from a small town, seeks the help of demons to save Sand Land from a water crisis. Accompanying them is a cunning old thief, adding his thieving skills to the team’s repertoire.

As players assume the role of Beelzebub, they will explore a vast world with this unique group of humans and demons. Whether crossing the vast desert on foot or by various means, they will encounter both dangers and benevolent characters, while unraveling the countless secrets hidden in SAND LAND.
The game’s action is enriched by vehicle and character combat, in which players have access to a variety of customizable vehicles equipped with accessories to travel across the desert, overtaking overcome obstacles and face many formidable opponents.

SAND LAND, a short manga serialized by Toriyama in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000, originated from it. Shueisha published a single manga compilation volume in November 2000.

The manga also inspired an anime adaptation, which premiered in Japan on August 18 and made its world premiere at this year’s Comic-Con International San Diego on July 22. The film is scheduled to hit North American theaters in 2024.
