Jujutsu Kaisen is a darker take on shounen, known for the intensity behind its action scenes accompanied by a story that seems to get darker as it goes on. Even so, there are a surprising number of scenes in the series that can be entertaining for audiences. These scenes often contrast with the more serious nature of the surrounding plot, but also help balance it.
Some funniest moments in Jujutsu Kaisen often involves interactions between the main trio and Gojo, but the series often mixes them up in between moments of downtime and the Jujutsu Witch’s deadly missions.
10 Fushiguro is attacked
Speaking of some of the funnier scenes in Jujutsu Kaisen, one that stands out is the accompanying Jujutsu walk scene after the end of episode 23. This scene is a few minutes of pure shenanigans that begins with Gojo and Kugisaki exhausted sit down. When Itadori started yelling to get their attention, their initial reaction seemed to be to ignore him until Itadori revealed that someone was flirting with Fushiguro. Gojo and Kugisaki spring into action, seemingly undeterred despite their previous exasperated state, and the three of them enter ‘Formation B’.
The implication is that not only did the trio foresee something like this could happen, but they also thought up multiple scenarios to perhaps prevent anyone’s attempt to attack Fushiguro. It turns out Itadori misunderstood the interaction, and naturally Fushiguro scolds them for embarrassing him, but these small moments really depict the relationship between these four main characters.
9 Good boy!
Although this scene is very brief, it is also quite memorable. At the beginning of episode 4, Fushiguro details how his Divine will help them when they enter a juvenile detention center to deal with the cursed uterus. Kugisaki and Itadori worry about finding their way back to the entrance since the door is obscured by Innate Domain’s presence. Fushiguro assured them that his Divine Dog would be able to recall the scent of the entrance.
The encouragement was an obvious comfort, as Fushiguro even commented that they seemed too calm about the situation afterward, and Kugisaki and Itadori cuddled and praised the happy dog shikigami. Fans can hardly blame them for sneaking a chance to pet a cute dog, no matter how ferocious they are in the fight
8 No cursed technique?
Itadori is disappointed to discover during his training with Gojo that he will not be allowed to use any cursed techniques, which is understandable, given the protagonist’s newly acquired abilities. floating. The way the series depicts this by simplifying Itadori’s appearance as he falls to the ground in defeat, especially in contrast to everything around him, also makes this moment a funny one. little. Itadori then begins listing a series of moves he wants to be able to perform – and all of the moves listed are actually specific techniques from the popular shounen series, which is also an interesting combination with famous manga and anime.
7 Tokyo and Kyoto baseball match
Tokyo and Kyoto Jujustu students are pitted against each other in a baseball game in the second half of episode 21. Interspersed with some truly meaningful moments – such as Kamo remembering the conversation he had with his mother when she leaves – this confrontation is mostly humorous interaction and ends on an inspirational note. Highlights include Mechamaru acting as a pitching machine, Momo’s save using a broom, and tidbits of information given when introducing each pitcher. Breaks like this in shounen anime are always a breath of fresh air and give fans a chance to see characters interact with each other outside of dangerous circumstances.
6 Huh? I?
After getting another hold of Sukuna’s finger at the end of episode 24, the trio was quite exhausted. Due to their condition, Fushiguro gives Itadori the finger (as he is the one with the best shape), but reminds Itadori not to eat it. Just as Itadori was internally commenting on the insult to his intelligence, one of Sukuna’s mouths popped up on his hand and ate the finger. Itadori gets scolded even though it’s technically not his fault, and he complains about how Sukuna didn’t even contribute to getting the object back this time. The humorous timing of the beat after Itadori accidentally touches his finger and the change in Fushiguro’s facial expression are definitely very well done.
5 Idiot A and Idiot B
When assigned to the mission, Kugisaki and Itadori meet several people who went to the same middle school as Fushiguro, although it is not immediately revealed. Kugisaki saw these people smoking and said they should beat them and punish them, to which Itadori replied “Why?” As a result, these students seemed ready to start the fight until they saw Fushiguro.
Instead, they bowed deeply and greeted the group, making Kugisaki and Itadori believe that the respect they showed was for them. However, the punks call Fushiguro by name, singling him out and causing Itadori and Kugisaki to pester him for answers. At this point in the series, the audience knows that Fushiguro got into fights in middle school, but the way this is revealed to his friends and their subsequent reactions is too interesting to pay attention to. .
4 Nanami’s introduction
When introduced, Nanami says that one thing he learned is that he doesn’t like Jujutsu witches, which catches Itadori off guard. He then went on to say that he worked at a ‘typical company’ and knew that working was just as bad. In the end, since both were terrible options, he chose the option that was more suitable for him. It’s an unexpected conversation, after which Nanami comments that although he trusts Gojo, he doesn’t respect him. It’s clear that Nanami is very open about his opinions, but the audience’s unexpected approach makes the introduction of his character a bit humorous.
3 Rotating Sushi
One scene includes an intense showdown involving Rock-Paper-Scissors which is always memorable, and this special pits Itadori and Kugisaki against each other to determine where the group should eat dinner. Itadori wanted to experience a rotating sushi bar, something Kugisaki was initially against. Their passion for the subject coupled with a lack of energy that Fushiguro occasionally displays is a humorous contrast. In the end, Itadori convinced Kugisaki when talking about how the restaurant serves sushi to customers on the bullet train. Kugisaki humorously envisions a real bullet train, in no small part because of Itadori’s phrasing, instead of a miniature bullet train as is the case in some Japanese restaurants.
2 Student Council President vs Sea Angel
This playful scene occurs at the beginning of the series, before everything changes in Itadori’s life. Itadori and the other occult members were contacting some spirits to ask questions and the first question he asked was “What creature is the council chairman only slightly weaker than?” The board raises a seal angel, which sends the club into hysteria right before the board chairman shows up to scold them.
1 Like “That”
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 quickly gets back on track in the second half and goes straight into the Shibuya Incident; however, there is a fun scene involving the main trio and a friend from Itadori’s middle school. When Ozawa confesses to thinking she might have a chance to get closer to Itadori, Kugisaki responds with “You don’t mean ‘that’, right?” Ozawa responded, “Yes, I meant ‘that’.” For a brief moment, while they answer, their entire style changes and their expressions combined with a more humorous style are sure to generate some giggles.
The ensuing conversation, which draws Fushiguro to help, is full of shenanigans but also a serious effort. The funniest moments inJujutsu Kaisen seems intended to characterize the series’ cast in a short period of time, provide more insight into their relationships with each other, and help the audience escape the more horrific events. They help successfully show other aspects of characters who should only exist in dark and deadly situations.
