X's official account Re:Zero announced on June 6, 2024 that the highly anticipated first episode of season 3 will be a 90-minute special broadcast, equivalent to four regular episodes.
Furthermore, the 90-minute special will hit theaters across Japan on August 30, 2024, before airing on television.

Re:Zero − Start life in another world is a Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin'ichiro Otsuka. The series was originally serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2012 onwards.
The first three seasons of the series were adapted into separate manga series. Daichi Matsue's first book was published from June 2014 to March 2015. Makoto Fugetsu's second book was published by Square Enix from October 2014.
