Reign of the Seven Spellblades Volume 13 Review-The Noisy Forest
This is another set piece in an episode that has almost too many of them. So far, we’ve had 13 episodes and most of them have been spent building towards a certain battle, making it difficult to see if they can deliver a convincing and satisfying, cohesive episode. ties up some loose ends while introducing new storylines that are interesting or not. points to pursue in the future. Exactly one of them has successfully done this, and that’s only because of the twist at the end of the episode.

So, expecting much from the show at this point is not a smart idea. It’s unlikely to disappoint, but there’s a good chance that whatever it’s aiming for won’t fit the episodic construction it receives. We are now heading towards a climactic battle between the succubus Ophelia and the Sword Roses accompanied by Milligan. Could it be interesting and well crafted? Absolutely, absolutely. Is that possible? That part is a bit more questionable.
We saw some more of the show’s general world-building and combat system in action in this episode, as more creatures than trolls and monsters arrived to showcase the diverse flora and fauna in the deserted forest. Things of terrifying power would not hesitate to kill a child, thus making Milligan confident in not wanting anyone weaker than the three strongest Sword Roses to accompany her inside. Katie and Guy are still there in spirit, although to be honest, I’m not really sad to see Katie’s back.

We also get some lore about Ophelia’s life back then, which is fine, but I’m glad we get that just because it gives another reason for the Reversi storyline from the beginning of the series become different. have influence. Reign of the Seven Spellblades Volume 13 features not one but two Reversis that make a notable impact on everything going on at the moment. That certainly spiced things up a bit, but no more than a sign that Oliver might soon track down and kill one of his teachers.
Maybe not this season, which is a shame, but at least the show is progressing. As Ophelia’s plans become more sinister and her powers more dangerous than we previously realized, perhaps Oliver really was foolish not to heed her warnings. However, in her fourth year, she is still insanely overpowered and sinister. What does that say about characters who are even older and more experienced than her? Is Oliver killing a teacher an even bigger deal than we previously realized? I’m sure we’ll find out.
Verdict
Reign of the Seven Spellblades Volume 13 is a good outing with plenty of action and world-building built around the danger the main characters actually present.
