Seven Seas is releasing the manga in multi-volume form under the title Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, and describes the story:
In the 15th century, the claim that the Earth revolves around the sun is a heresy that could get its followers burned at the stake. Prodigy Rafal is introduced to the truth of the universe by his mentor, only to be forced to flee when the Inquisition comes looking for “God’s justice.” With only a special pendant to guide him, can Rafal uncover his master’s research, and can he and his fellow believers light up the world?
Uoto launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in September 2020 and ended it on April 25. Shogakukan published the eighth and final volume in June 2022.
The manga won the Grand Prize at the 26th annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in April. Uoto is the youngest person ever to win the Grand Prize at the age of 24.
