A new revelation about the Seraphim presented in chapter 1090 is surprising. They were captured and locked in bubbles infused with sea rock energy.
In the One Piece manga, the World Government announced their new weapon – the Seraphim. Seraphim are combat robots created by Vegapunk. They are the new generation Pacifista possessing superior strength and fighting ability compared to the old generation.
The interesting thing is that the Seraphim are clones of the Shichibukai. In terms of physical features, they look like children with white hair, dark skin, black wings, and a spot of fire. These new-generation combat robots have both the power of a Devil Fruit and the durability of King’s Lunarian race. S-Snake, Boa Hancock’s clone, whose petrification skills have proven formidable.
Seraphim has so far managed to engage and challenge the main characters in the plot, including Luffy, Zoro, and Lucci.
The unique personality of each Seraphim is inherited from their original archetype. And these striking personalities may be Seraphim’s biggest flaw, something that neither Dr. Vegapunk nor the Five Elders seem to have foreseen.
Luffy with his direct and forthright approach led S-Snake to free his petrified friends by exploiting the clone’s emotional sensibilities.
This inadvertently raises pressing questions about the control of these new weapons. Especially considering that other infamous Seraphim clones prototyped from Hawkeye, Jimbe, Kuma, Crocodile, Gecko Moria and Donquixote Doflamingo have also been developed.
The prospect of a “mini” Doflamingo is particularly terrifying, potentially causing disaster for the One Piece world. The Seraphim’s unpredictable personality could make them a bigger problem for the World Government than the original Shichibukai.
According to many current predictions, the number of Seraphim will correspond to the number of characters who used to be the Shichibukai. In One Piece, we were introduced to a total of 11 Shichibukai, so there might be 11 Seraphim.
The question now is whether Seraphim’s personality becomes a weakness that can be exploited in the future like Luffy did with S-Snake. Subsequent chapters will shed more light on this fascinating topic.
