The previously announced Omuro-ke’s first film, titled Omuro-ke dear sisters, had its main visual and trailer on Thursday. The first film is scheduled to premiere on February 2, 2024, while the second film will be released at a later date.
Studios Passione and Lings (Yuri Is My Job!) are co-producing the anime Omuro-ke with Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) as director. Masahiro Yokotani (The Devil Is a Part-Timer!) wrote the script while Kazuyuki Ueda (Love Flops) designed the characters. Yusuke Shirato (In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki) is composing music at Lantis. The film’s cast will reprise their roles from the main series and include:
- Chiwa Saito as eldest sister Nadeshiko Omuro
- Emiri Kato as the middle child, Sakurako Omuro
- Rina Hidaka as Hanako Omuro’s youngest sister
The film Omuro-ke is based on the YuruYuri spin-off web manga, written and illustrated by Namori. It currently has 6 volumes in circulation. The series’ original manga was originally serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime S magazine in 2008 before being transferred to Comic Yu Hime in September 2010. It inspired a television anime with Doga Kobo animated the first two seasons while TYO Animations handled the third season. . An OVA by studio Lay-duce was released in 2019 to commemorate the manga’s 10th anniversary.
