The latest trailer for Solo Leveling has revealed the opening theme of the anime adaptation and its worldwide release schedule.
The promotional video gives fans another look at the highly anticipated adaptation. The trailer includes various clips of the anime shown alongside the OP, titled “LEvel,” which is a collaboration between veteran anime composer Hiroyuki Sawano and South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together. The video also reveals Solo Leveling’s long-awaited global launch date, with a launch in Japan and Korea scheduled for December 10. The Western launch will also take place halfway through the week then on December 14.
“LEvel” will also be released as Tomorrow X Together’s latest single on January 24 and is now available for pre-order on Weverse Shop’s online store. The members of Tomorrow X Together further shared a special video message for Solo Leveling fans, in which the group introduces themselves to the franchise’s avid followers. Who is working on promotion alone?
Based on the extremely popular Webtoon of the same name, Solo Leveling tells the story of Sung Jin-woo, a young hunter who is ridiculed by many for being ranked as the weakest hunter in the world. Animation studio A-1 Pictures is overseeing the project, with director Shunsuke Nakashige helming the anime adaptation. Joining him are Noboru Kimura and Tomoko Sudo, who are responsible for script writing and character design, respectively.
A summary from the English translation of the series reads: “Known as the weakest Hunter in all of humanity, E-rank hunter Sung Jin-woo’s contributions in raids are trying to not killed. Unfortunately, between his mother’s hospital bills, his sister’s.” tuition fees and with no job prospects, he has no choice but to continue betting his life.
