Miyano, Nukumi play original characters for August 2 film
The official website for My Hero AcadeKaren THE MOVIE: You're Next (My Hero AcadeKaren: You're Next), the fourth anime film in the My Hero AcadeKaren franchise, announced on Friday that the film has cast Mamoru Miyano and Meru Nukumi play the original characters.

The film will open on August 2.
Tensai Okamura (Darker than Black) is directing the film at BONES. Returning staff from the television series and previous films include screenwriter Yōsuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and composer Yuki Hayashi.
Original manga creator Kōhei Horikoshi will serve as general supervisor and original character designer. The film will have an origin story that takes place at the same time as the current television anime, with the collapse of secure society. In the movie, a mysterious giant fortress and a man resembling the previous “Symbol of Peace” suddenly appear in a society that has collapsed due to war.
The anime franchise has previously had three films. The film My Hero AcadeKaren: Two Heroes opened in Japan in July 2018. The second film, My Hero AcadeKaren: Heroes Rising, opened in Japan in December 2019. My Hero AcadeKaren THE MOVIE: World Heroes'Mission opened in Japan in August 2021. The film opened in the United States in October 2021 and eventually grossed more than $10 million.
The seventh season of the My Hero AcadeKaren television anime premiered on April 6, starting with four special My Hero Memories AcadeKaren episodes. The main anime season seven (starting with episode 139 of the entire anime) then premiered on May 4. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs and is also streaming the English dub.
