Saikyo Jump recently revealed the latest entry for Dragon Ball Super Gallery – an ambitious multi-year project created to celebrate the franchise's 40th anniversary. This month, official Dragon Ball Super illustrator Toyotarou submitted artwork honoring two classic Dragon Ball characters: Majinn Buu and Mr. Satan (also known by his English dub name, Hercules).
A Dragon Ball-focused news hub on X (formerly Twitter) called Shonen Jump News recently shared Toyotarou's article. This illustration, seen below, showcases a dynamic vehicular escape scene with Buu and Mr. Satan as they attempt to escape from a group of monsters. This scene was directly inspired by Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Volume 39 cover, which similarly depicts a cheerful-looking Buu and a heartbroken Mr. Satan as they drive around in one of his cars. Toyotarou's entry is the 35th official entry into Super Gallery, which debuted in September 2021.
