What happened recently?
Episode 7 titled “Summer’s Charming Lady” saw Mio and Kiyoka visit Saimori’s house and have a sincere conversation with Mio’s brother. The episode is filled with emotional moments, including Mio’s mother tree being cut down and the couple’s private engagement.
As soon as she touched the remaining bark of the tree, it vanished into the air. Then they meet Mio’s brother, who is also there. He has a short talk with Mio, and after leaving, he tells himself that he has to live better from now on!
As soon as Mio and Kiyoka returned home, they were engaged separately without calling each other’s families. That night, Mio asks Kiyoka to let her retake her lessons to become a lady. Kiyoka happily complied and told her that he would arrange a teacher for her.

Kityoka’s sister arrives the next day because she will be Mio’s new teacher. She taught Mio some basics while Kiyoka stood outside the room. After a while, Mio’s older sister asked Kiyoka to lend her Mio to take home. Kiyoka refused.
That night, Mio was attacked by a nightmare again. Kiyoka was worried because the fence around his house was still intact but the demons still managed to infiltrate Mio’s kind. Finally, we see that the demons have approached Kiyoka’s house.
