The success of the anime Sousou No Frieren it’s no secret that it passes quickly FMAB to become the top anime on MyAnimeList, while also becoming the fourth most searched anime on Yahoo in 2023 after just two months of release.
All these factors have caused the manga to attract more attention. Adding to the achievement, the official Twitter account of Sousou No Frieren announced on December 1, 2023 that following the release of the anime adaptation, the manga had an additional seven million copies in circulation.
Manga Sousou No Frieren has now surpassed 17 million copies in circulation. The manga’s 12th volume will release on December 12, 2023.
Sousou No Frieren is a Japanese manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday manga magazine since April 2020, with the chapters collected into 11 tankobon volumes as of September 2023.
The series is licensed for English language release in North America by Viz Media.
In 2021, it won the 14th Manga Taisho and the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards New Creator Award.
