The official website for Hirohiko Araki’s Kishibe Rohan Louvre e Iku (Rohan at the) live-action film Louvre museum, or literally, Rohan Kishibe Goes to the Louvre manga; Rohan au Louvre in French) announced on Tuesday that the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in Japan, France, and 160 other countries and regions around the world on September 22.
The film opened in Japan on May 26. The film sold 221,000 tickets in its first three days of release and grossed 315 million yen (approximately $2.26 million).

Issei Takahashi (Whisper of the Heart, live-action Ikebukuro West Gate Park, March comes like a lion) reprized his role as Rohan Kishibe. Marie Iitoyo (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) also returns as Kyoka Izumi, Rohan’s editor. Kento Nagao played Rohan when he was young.
Kazutaka Watanabe (live-action Only Today special) returns to direct the film, with a script once again by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure writer Yasuko Kobayashi. Naruyoshi Kikuchi (Mobile Suit GTA Thunderbolt) also returned to composing music. Isao Tsuge (Attack on Titan, Yatterman) returns as character design supervisor and Naoko Saitō, Keisuke Tsuchihashi, and Sangkeun Han as production coordinators. NHK Enterprises, NHK and PICS produced the film.
The two most recent episodes of the live-action series premiered on December 26 and 27 last year.
The first three episodes premiered in December 2020 for three consecutive nights on NHK General. The three-episode second season also aired in late December 2021 for three consecutive nights. Retro Crush is streaming the first three episodes.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure side story manga titled “Dripping Gah ō-hen” (Drip Technique) launched in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine in April 2022, with a second installment in May that year.
Animation studio david production adapted two such stories by said Kishibe Rohan into the original anime DVD. The “Fugō Mura” (Millionaire Village) episode is available to those who purchased all 13 DVD or Blu-ray episodes of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable anime in 2017. The “Mutsukabezaka” (Mutsukabe Hill) episode is included. the manga’s second volume in 2018. Crunchyroll premiered the film “Fugō Mura” overseas at the Crunchyroll Expo event in August 2019. After that, studio david production produced two new volumes, “Zange -shitsu”(Confession Room) and “The Run,” screened at nine screenings in six cities in Japan from December 2020 to March 2021.
Netflix began streaming the anime globally in February 2021 starring Landon McDonald.
North American graphics novelist NBM Publishing released the 128-page Rohan full-color comic at the Louvre in February 2012. NBM describes Rohan at the Louvre:
Rohan, a young mangaka, meets a mysterious beautiful maiden with a dramatic story. Seeing him paint, she told him about a cursed 200-year-old painting using the blackest ink ever known from a 1000-year-old tree that the artist had taken down without Hoang’s approval. Emperor, who executed him for doing so. Meanwhile, the painting was saved from destruction by the curator of the Louvre. Rohan forgot this story when he became famous but ten years later, while visiting Paris, he took the opportunity to look for the painting. He had no idea how strong its curse was until he asked the museum to excavate it from deep within its archives…
Araki originally created the manga for “Le Louvre invites la bande dessinée” (“The Louvre Exhibition-Invitation to Comic Art”) at the famous French Louvre art museum in 2009.
