Kodansha published the manga’s final chapter on August 24
TV Tokyo announced the main cast on Saturday for the live-action adaptation of Battan’s Kemutai Ane to Zurui Imōto (Troublesome and Cunning Sisters) manga, which will premiere on October 9.

The live-action adaptation of the manga will premiere on October 9 on TV Tokyo’s Drama Premium 23 programming block at 11:06 p.m. JST.

Battan launched the manga in Kodansha’s Kiss Magazine in August 2021 and ended the series on August 24. The fourth volume was published on May 12. Kodansha will publish the fifth and final volume of the manga on October 13.
The manga’s story revolves around Jun and her younger sister Ran. The two sisters lost contact with each other because of Ritsu, Ran’s husband, Jun’s ex-lover. They met again after 8 years of no contact at their mother’s funeral. The two sisters gradually become aware of each other, eventually the three of them live together and the gears of love begin to gradually slip.
Battan’s manga Run Away With Me, Girl (Kakeochi Girl) launched in Kodansha’s now-defunct digital manga magazine Hatsu Kiss in October 2018 and ended in February 2020. Kodansha published the volume. The manga’s third and final volume was released in December 2021. Kodansha USA published the manga’s first volume in English on December 2022, and the third and final volume on May 2.
