Kadokawa revealed on Friday in the sixth volume the manga adaptation of Kazuki Irodori's Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrator Kikka Ohashi's The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter (Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai), series love novel for boys whose franchise is being adapted into an anime.
Yen Press is releasing both the light novel and manga adaptation in English, and describes the story:
Seiichiro has been losing weight on his own, all day every day, for nearly thirty years. Even when he was trapped in a fantasy world because of some strange Holy Summoning Ritual, he kept going. It wasn't until he met Aresh, Captain of the Knights, that he realized he might want more in life than work. Can Seiichiro melt the heart of the infamous Mr. Ice—or is he destined to be married to his job…forever?!
Yatsuki launched the light novel series in February 2019. The third volume was published in September 2021.
The manga launched on Kadokawa's ComicWalker (now KadoComi) website in March 2020. Kadokawa published the manga's sixth volume on Friday.
The manga and novel series have a total of 1.4 million copies in circulation.
