Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service announced on X/Twitter on Wednesday that its English-language manga service K MANGA is now available in Japan. The service was previously only available in the United States until now.
The service is available in Japan via both browser and app.
K MANGA launched as an app for iOS and Android in May 2023 with around 400 English titles including 60 simulpub titles. The first few chapters of most titles are available for free. The service uses a Tickets and Points based system. The service was later launched for browsers later that month.
Kodansha told ANN at the service launch that because they have to “meet various requirements for each country,” such as laws and regulations, they are only starting the service in the United States. However, the company said it wants to expand to other countries.
