Kaiju No 8 Episode 7 Summary
The episode begins with the humanoid Kaiju confronting Reno and Iharu. Without hesitation, the Kaiju dropped their human disguise and attacked the soldiers, aiming to take human samples. Despite their efforts to quickly assess the situation, Reno and Iharu find themselves overwhelmed and brutally shot. They soon realized the severity of their predicament. Reno attempts to contact Captain Hoshina but discovers that the Kaiju has blocked all communications, revealing its ability to learn and adapt quickly. Throughout the war, Kaiju keenly observed and understood humans to improve their killing methods.
Initially, Reno urged Iharu to escape and call for reinforcements, but Iharu refused to abandon his friend. This moment shows that Iharu increasingly admires Reno's courage, and sees the potential in him to become a captain. Determined to protect Reno, Iharu fights alongside him with new determination and strategy. However, their injuries from previous attacks made the battle difficult.
The episode is tense and suspenseful, making us worry about the fate of our favorite characters. As expected, Kafka finally makes a heroic appearance and his entrance is a memorable one.
Kaiju episode number 8 8 Review And Recap
Today's episode was really good as we saw some interesting developments and interesting characters. The episode starts with Hoshina going full Levi mode on Kafka in Kaiju issue 8. He's a beast with his sword and he's clearly one of the strongest characters in this anime. While his power may not be as great as Captain Mina's, there is no way any normal Kaiju could evade him.
However, our protagonist is no ordinary Kaiju, nor does he intend to kill him.

Another interesting thing we witness in this episode is that Kafka became a part of the Self-Defense Forces without being an official member. He is loved and cared for by everyone, especially Kikoru, who vehemently denies this.
We also learned more about another character in this anime, Haruichi Izumo. Before, he seemed to be an ordinary character but he is clearly the heir to the famous Izumo technology. It is the largest manufacturer of anti-Kaiju weapons in Japan and is responsible for supplying most of the arsenal used by the Self-Defense Forces. His family is even richer than Kikoru's.
The aftermath of the battle also seemed to relax the members of the third team, who enjoyed a brief moment of relaxation by celebrating their first victory with a large party. Here, more laughter and healthy banter ensue, followed by the very important statement that you should see for yourself.
However, the ending completely changed the mood of the episode and made me doubly excited about what's to come next. We may be approaching the final part of the first season of this anime.
Verdict
I liked this episode and liked the light tone in the middle. What I especially liked was how the episode started on a high note and then ended on a high note, as this made me anxiously awaiting next week. If you haven't watched this anime yet, watch it now, it's definitely one of the best shows this season.
