Jujutsu Kaisen’s first ending theme — ALI’s “Lost in Paradise” — inspired a trio of fun street-style cosplay.
Uploaded to Reddit, the image shows Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki wearing more relaxed attire than their usual school uniforms and recreating some of the dance moves seen in the anime’s finale. Notably, the anime won Best Ending at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021; The series also won Anime of the Year and Best Villain that year.
Publishing History of Jujutsu Kaisen
First appearing in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2018, Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen tells the story of protagonist Yuji Itadori, a gifted high school student with athletic abilities who is recruited by a group of Jujutsu Wizards. recruited after ingesting one of the rotten fingers of Ryomen Sukuna, the undisputed Cursed King. Along with Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Takeshi Konomi’s The Prince of Tennis, the series is one of the best-selling manga in history, with over 70 million copies sold worldwide.
The studio adaptation of MAPPA (Attack on Titan: The Final Season) premiered its first season in 2020, going on to become one of the most popular and well-received anime chapters of that year. The film stars Junya Enoki (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) as Itadori, Yuma Uchida (The Executioner and Her Way of Life) as Megumi Fushiguro, and Asami Seto (The Eminence in Shadow) as Nobara Kugisaki.
The much-anticipated second installment of Jujutsu Kaisen will debut as part of the summer 2023 lineup, and its first trailer teases a story that blends humor and brutal action. Most notably, it glimpses the epic and deadly confrontation between the most powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo and Megumi’s father, Toji Fushiguro. The latest trailer features the film’s new opening song — “Ao no Sumika” by Tatsuya Kitani.

The massive success of both the Akutami manga and MAPPA’s anime stems from Jujutsu Kaisen’s huge and passionate fan base. Members of the fandom show their love and appreciation for the story by creating their own content, especially cosplay. In addition to the “Lost in Paradise” inspired cosplay, other recent examples include two different interpretations of Gojo; one gives the user of Six Eyes a girly makeover and long flowing hair, while the other is so precise that it appears the Jujutsu high school teacher used her incredible powers to bring ourselves into our reality.
