The following contains spoilers for the webcomic One-Punch Man, Chapter 143, written by One.
The beloved One-Punch Man, Mumen Rider finally gains the power to become an S-Class hero.
Webcomic One Punch Man, written by One, recently received a new chapter that gives “Bicyclist for Justice” a significant boost in his power level, as reported by Sportskeeda . The usually weak hero has appeared in the latest chapter to help his colleagues as they battle against the robots that are destroying the city. However, instead of his usual outfit, he wears a new power-up suit that increases his strength and durability.
How Mumen Rider Power Up
Mumen Rider suddenly appeared to stop the attack on Tank Top Master, who nearly exploded. The hero, now known as Neo Mumen, received the explosion in the chest without flinching before fleeing with the Tank Top. This sudden increase in his strength is due to the suit he was given by the Neo Heroes, which enhances his physical abilities. He, along with the other Neo Heroes and the group known as the Hunters, used these suits to help protect the city from the cyborg threat.
Satoru, Mumen Rider’s real name, is a supporting character in the webcomic One Punch Man, which is a remake of the manga illustrated by Yusuke Murata and the anime by Madhouse (later taken over by JC Staff). The OPM series is set in a world where superheroes work under the Hero Association to protect the world from threats. Mumen Rider is the number one ranked C-rank hero, and even though he has no superpowers other than being good at cycling, he does his best to save people.
This character is loved by fans for his strong will and determination in the face of impossible difficulties. He infamously fought the Deep Sea King in one of the series’ most famous battles. The battle sees protagonist Saitama’s apprentice, the powerful Genos, torn to pieces by the villain in a brutal battle. The “Bicyclist for Justice” came to try to save the situation but couldn’t even scratch the bad guys.
Despite this, he still fought and declared, “I am weak. I know that. No one has to tell me I have no chance of beating you. I knew that! However, I have to try. It’s not about winning or losing! It’s about me fighting you right here, right now!” This act of bravery inspired those around him, holding off the villain until Saitama appeared to take him down. This act of selflessness instantly made him a favorite with readers and viewers alike.
Anime One Punch Man currently has two seasons to watch on Hulu and Netflix. The film has been confirmed to have a third part, but there is no word yet on which studios will produce. The manga is available to read in English through Viz Media.
