Jujutsu Kaisen are waiting for a major reveal to come next week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44, where series author Gege Akutami is expected to make a “great announcement” along with the manga’s final chapter.
Recent developments in the manga have sparked speculation that a sequel to the story might be in the works as fans feel that it is impossible to end the story in one chapter the way it is going.

However, not all fans are on board with the idea of an extended story arc. They feel that the story is already ending perfectly and should not be extended any further.

And recently, in the Q&A session at the exhibition Jujutsu KaisenAkutami has confirmed that the ongoing Shinjuku Showdown Arc is indeed the final arc/part of the manga.

As of July 2024, the manga's chapters have been collected into 27 tankobon volumes, with over 90 million copies in circulation.
