A key visual and PV trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Blue Miburo TV anime series, which will begin airing in Japan on October 19, 2024.
The new image highlights the main character, Nio Chirinu, training with a wooden sword, while the trailer introduces some of the series' supporting characters.

Kumiko Habara (Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp) will direct the anime, with Kenta Ihara (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) serving as series scriptwriter, Yuko Oba (Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp) serving as character designer, Miyako Nishida (Rainbow Days) serving as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi (My Hero AcadeKaren) serving as composer. MAHO FILM is handling animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime's main voice cast includes:
• Shuichiro Umeda as Nio Chirinu • Yohei Azakami as Toshizo Hijikata • Kensho Ono as Okita Souji • Chiaki Kobayashi as Hajime Saito • Shun Horie as Taro Tanaka
The anime is based on the historical samurai manga by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, which debuted in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine on October 13, 2021. Fourteen tankōbon volumes have been released as of July 2024.
