For those concerned about any changes in the adaptation, rest assured that the cast and staff for the film will remain the same as the television anime series.
The Haikyuu manga series, written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in February 2012 and ended in July 2020, spanning an impressive 45 volumes. The anime adaptation, produced by Production IG, first aired in April 2014 and quickly gained a huge following.
With four seasons, multiple OVAs, and a total of 85 episodes, this anime series ended in December 2020, perfectly matching the end of the manga.
