The museum also added models from Pinocchio, Fantasia, and The Lion King
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (from the people who present the Oscars) announced on October 31 that it is adding a series of new model artifacts to its collection. They include 80 pieces of animated artwork by Hayao Miyazaki and Noboru Yoshida from Studio Ghibli's Ponyo, Japanese movie posters from the studio — and a complete animator's workbench.

The museum is also adding figures from Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), and The Lion King (1994); handwritten script draft of Pulp Fiction (1994); and 70mm film prints of Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Ryan's Daughter (1970) and Oppenheimer (2023).
Matt Severson, Executive Vice President, Collections and Preservation of the Academy, said:
We are delighted to welcome these iconic works into our collection. Overseen by our team of skilled researchers, conservators, and curators, the Academy Collection plays a vital role in shaping the future of filmmaking. We are grateful to our donors for their notable gifts to the Academy and their commitment to preserving our film history.
There is no mention of whether or when newly acquired items will be displayed at the museum.
