On Halloween 2023, the global big screen will bring cult horror works from reputable studios, continuing to write interesting stories of films that once stormed.
Calling Demon Souls (11/8)

Opening the horror movie season at the end of the year is the horror film from the A24 family Calling the Devil (original title: Talk To Me). In many lists, Calling the Devil is “named” as the most anticipated film of the A24 family at the end of the year. This studio has also created quality horror titles that are very popular with fans like Hereditary or Midsommar.
With the theme of haunting summoning, Demon Summoning revolves around the story of a group of friends who organize a summoning game after finding a hand that can help them connect with spirits in the afterlife. “It’s fun to have a little fun”, but the group of friends went too far and began to unleash the terrifying forces of darkness. The ghostly hand of Demon Summoner will lead the audience into a dark, terrifying and extremely haunting world of previously unknown demons.
Demon Sister II (September 8)

After 4 years, the horror icon Valak will return, once again spreading fear in the separate sequel to The Nun II (original title: The Nun II). Valak first appeared in the film The Conjuring 2 by director James Wan and immediately created a global fever. This image of the nun has become the inspiration for other horror stories of the screen, which started with the first part of the Devil – the highest-grossing film in the entire The Conjuring franchise.
The new film is set in a monastery in France in the 1950s of the last century. After a series of strange events happen here, Sister Irene (played by Taissa Farmiga) officially confronts the evil Valak, who joined her in the battle for survival in the previous film. This time, how Valak will continue to spread the haunting fear is what the audience is extremely looking forward to.
Demons: Believers (October 13)

Rated as “the scariest horror movie ever”, The Exorcist has always been considered a monument of the horror genre. Although half a century has passed, the value of The Exorcist remains the same, even becoming the inspiration for many movies about the demon axis to this day. Many popular horror movies, such as The Conjuring 3, also include details in tribute to The Exorcist. It can be seen that the great stature of The Exorcist with the horror genre in particular and with Hollywood cinema in general is indisputable.
And after more than 50 years, this horror monument will officially return to the screen in the direct sequel to Demons: The Believer (original title: The Exorcist: Believer). Instead of Warner Bros., the new film will be made by Universal and the cult horror studio Blumhouse. This time, not only 1 but 2 girls will be victims of the devil at the same time – Angela and Katherine. The mother character in the previous film – Chris McNeil played by actress Ellen Burstyn will also return, reuniting with the demon that tormented her daughter 50 years ago.
5 Nights of Terror (October 27)

Another famous entertainment brand will also move to the screen this year. Five Nights At Freddy’s (original title: Five Nights At Freddy’s) is a movie based on the famous survival horror game of the same name by ScottGames. This game is set in places related to the fictional family pizza chain “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza” named after its mascot, the robot bear Freddy Fazbear. The player assumes the role of a night-time security guard, who must use tools such as security cameras, lights, doors, and ventilation ducts to protect themselves from robotic characters present in the workplace.
This film adaptation continues to be the handshake product of two popular names Universal and Blumhouse. The main character security guard Mike will be played by actor Josh Hutcherson. The later the night fell, the more he realized there were anomalies in this place once filled with children’s laughter. A secret about why Freddy Fazbear had to close the door is revealed, and Mike knows he has no way out.
