Harris died at the hospital Saturday morning at the age of 76
Image via Broadcast Dialogue Voice actor Doc Harris (born Gilbert Auchinleck) died at Vancouver General Hospital on Saturday morning. Harris underwent minor surgery last month. He was 76 years old.
Harris began his broadcasting career in Canada in 1966. He was known by the names “Gil Harris” and “Doc Holiday” before adopting the nickname Doc Harris.
One of his most iconic roles was as the narrator for Ocean Studios' original English dub of the Dragon Ball Z anime and several early films. He also voiced other characters for the Canadian-produced dub. He is also the voice of Grogar in the animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Harris has had roles in other animated films, television shows and games such as Monster Rancher, Mobile Suit GTA: Encounters in Space, Aegis Defenders, Hulk: The Video Game and Captain N The Game Master.
