At the end of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero manga, Goten and Trunks are still fighting crime. Manga artist Toyotaro celebrated the expansion of the “Dragon Ball Heroes” game by introducing his adult version of Gotenks.
Gotenks is the fusion form of the two boys Goku and Vegeta. Son Goten and Trunks performed the Fusion Dance to create a fused warrior calling himself the “Hero of Justice”. This is also the first character born thanks to this fusion.
The Super Dragon Ball Heroes movie introduced new characters and teenage versions of Goten and Trunks. These two boys faced challenges in performing the Fusion Dance, resulting in a weaker version of Gotenks. Even so, the movie still hints at the possibility of Goten and Trunks successfully merging into adult versions of Gotenks.
In “Super Dragon Ball Heroes”, Toyotaro brought back characters absent from the main series, focusing on Super Saiyan 4. He took the opportunity to show his interpretation of the successful fusion between Goten and Trunks. The reveal of Toyotaro’s adult Gotenks also has implications for the Dragon Ball universe. With the manga progressing and the duo growing in popularity, this adult version of Gotenks could appear in the main series in the future.
The next chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga, “Carmine and Android 15” will introduce new elements, possibly including a version of Android 15, a character who appeared in the seventh “Dragon Ball Z” movie but did not considered official. This hints at changes and provides new news for fans of the series.
