Subscription prices increase starting October 17

Disney+ began increasing the monthly subscription price for its streaming platform starting October 17. The price for an ad-supported subscription has increased from $7.99 a month to $9.99 a month. The price for its ad-free tier has increased from $13.99 to $15.99. The Duo Basic plan, which includes Disney+ and Hulu, has increased from $9.99 to $10.99, while the price of the Duo Premium plan remains the same at $19.99.
Advertised monthly subscription prices in Canada will start increasing by one dollar on December 11.
Disney+ previously raised prices and revealed plans to limit password sharing for accounts by October 2023.
Paramount+ increased the price of its subscription service on August 20. Paramount+ with Showtime Bundle increased from $11.99 to $12.99 per month for all customers. The price of the Paramount+ Essential plan has increased from $5.99 to $7.99 per month for all new subscribers. Paramount+ Limited commercial plan increased from $6.99 to $7.99 for existing customers.
Max (formerly HBO Max) had a price increase on June 11. The monthly price for the ad-free plan increased from $15.99 to $15.99 $16.99. The company has also increased the price of the Ultimate Ad-Free tier from $19.99 to $20.99 per month. This marks the service's second price increase since launch, following a price increase in February 2023.
