One Piece may have introduced us to a key character in the Void Century, and she may be a lot more relevant than people realize. The Wano Arc brings us many new and interesting characters, but the most attractive and mysterious person is probably Toki – Oden’s wife.
Toki is a time traveler from the Void Century whose past and goals remain a mystery. There is a theory that Amatsuki Toki may be Nefertari D. Lily, the former ruler of Alabasta during the Void Century, who disappeared without a trace shortly after the World Government was established.
Theorizer suggests that Nefertari D. Lily refused to become a Celestial Dragon and wanted to return to Alabasta, but never did. She traveled through time and took the name Toki.

In One Piece, Lily’s appearance is heavily related to Vivi’s, as shown in chapter 1084. Vivi and Toki have some things in common, such as some “dawn” prophecies. Furthermore, Toki has a number of peculiarities that this theory could help explain, not to mention the mysterious connection between Wano and Alabasta thanks to the Ancient Weapon Pluto.
One of the biggest mysteries is why Toki was so determined to reach Wano, a quest that took more than 800 years. She said she had wanted to go there since she was little, but she was born elsewhere and had never set foot in Wano.
This theory refutes the idea that Toki, or rather Lily, is after Pluton, and this explains her interest in Wano. This leads people to believe that Lily originated from Wano or simply took the name Toki as a disguise.

Chapter 1085 shows a letter from Lily to her family, telling them to “raise the flag of dawn against the world”, very similar to Toki’s prophecy of the dawn twenty years later. The connection between “dawn” and the Void Century further strengthens the connection between Toki and Lily.
Lily, traveling through time after spreading the Poneglyphs, proves to be a headache for the World Government. If she truly spread the Poneglyphs, she would know Pluton’s location in Wano, which would explain her desire to go there.

However, it is possible that Toki and Lily are different people as there is still a lack of concrete evidence to prove this theory. They can be both allies or friends in the Void Century. And then there’s the matter of Toki’s devil fruit, it’s not mentioned that she could spread Poneglyphs if she were Lily.
Even so, their story is still full of mystery and it seems like it will be a long time before One Piece reveals everything about the Void Century.
