The CATHAY website describes the plot as:
In CE75, the fighting continued. There are independence movements and Blue Cosmos invasions… To calm the situation, a global peace watchdog called COMPASS is established, with Lacus as its first chairman. As a member of COMPASS, Kira and her teammates intervene in various regional battles. Later, a newly formed nation called the Foundation proposed a joint operation against the Blue Cosmos stronghold.
A sequel to 2002-2003’s Mobile Suit Guns Seed and 2004-2005’s Mobile SuitGundam Seed Destiny was first announced in 2006. Co-writer of Seed Freedom Chiaki Morosawawho compiled the series for Seed and Seed Destiny, passed away from an aortic dissection in 2016. An update revealed that the series is in production for a 2021 release.
