A new PV trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming Murder Mystery of the Dead television anime series, which will begin airing in Japan on November 13, 2024.
The trailer also previews the anime's main opening theme “Kyozo,” performed by VTuber idol project Mixstgirls.

Tomohiro Ishii is directing the anime series with novelist/game writer Giguru Akiguchi (The Murder at Cthulhu Manor game designer, Hachigatsu no Time Machine co-creator) as scriptwriter for the series and Teren Mikami (There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless… the author) is writing the script. Akiguchi and Hideki Morikawa (My Darling is a Time Traveler, co-creator of Hachigatsu no Time Machine) are credited as drafters.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes:
• Moe Kahara as Mikoto • Lynn as Ranna Kuze • Kiyono Yasuno as Fumika Shinohara • Madoka Asahina as Rumina • Maki Kawase as Fumika Shinohara • Tsubaki Makino as Riri Aramama • Hikaru Tono as Rumurumu
The anime adaptation is based on the 2021 murder mystery party council game developed by Cosaic and Group SNE.

The group game was originally developed for 7-8 players. The main story takes place in a shopping mall after a zombie pandemic leads to the collapse of civilization.
