Just sent out by the good people from streaming giant Crunchyroll are details about a special collaboration for New York Comic Con. Crunchyroll has partnered with Newtype to create a special commemorative print edition of the magazine for the event.
Available for free at New York Comic Con while supplies last, the special edition issue features exclusive custom artwork for two of the biggest anime hits of 2024. NYCC is scheduled to run from October 17 to 20, 2024 at the Javits Center located at 429 11th Ave in NYC.
Newtype magazine was last published in English as Newtype USA in 2008. Brought to the US by ADV, the magazine is packed with news, insights and features lots of exclusive artwork for Everyone's favorite anime. To this day, anime fans will import the original Japanese version to better understand the anime as well as to see lots of adorable images.
This is a landmark collaboration and we hope to see more of Newtype's return in the near future.

The legendary Anime magazine returns to America with a special issue highlighting hit anime series like Overlord and The Apothecary Diaries
Culver City, California (October 15, 2024)-Legendary anime magazine Newtype will return to the United States with a special issue for New York Comic Con-all cooperated with Crunchyroll News.
Last published in English in 2008, this collaborative issue is an example of anime journalism that only Newtype and Crunchyroll can deliver to fans.
Available for free at New York Comic Con while supplies last, this special edition features exclusive custom artwork for two of the biggest anime series of 2024. Featured on the front cover is the Brand new piece of art for OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdomthe film based on the fan-favorite isekai series will be brought to theaters by Crunchyroll this November. Meanwhile, the back cover shows off custom artwork from Medicine preparation diaryone of the most popular shows of the year both for its artistry and love story. Both beautiful works of art come directly from their source – Madhouse, Inc. and from OLM and Toho Animation Studio respectively.
Within the book's 16 pages, readers will find detailed information on some of the year's biggest anime hits so far, including exclusive artwork and never-before-seen interviews somewhere else. This collaboration between one of the leading anime publishers in Japan on Newtype and one of the largest anime publishers in the world on Crunchyroll News is a truly collaborative effort aimed at highlighting several publications. The issue contains interviews with Naoyuki Ito, director of OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdomas well as Norihiro Naganuma, director of The Apothecary Diaries-and much more. These exclusive products are available only in this very special issue, so attendees should keep an eye out for the Crunchyroll News x Newtype logo as they walk the NYCC floor.
