Aniplex of America announced on Friday that the English dub for the anime Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga (Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) will begin streaming on Crunchyroll on Saturday.
The new anime franchise will have two courses (one quarter year). The first season titled Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga (Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) began airing on October 5. The second season Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga will air in January 2025. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime under the name it aired.
Returning staff includes director Daisuke Yoshida, screenwriter Toshiya Ono, character designer and animation director Yurie Oohigashi, and composers Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano
Reol performed the opening theme song “Re Rescue.” Yobahi performed the ending theme song “Tsurara.”
The anime is a sequel to the anime Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga, which premiered in Japan on January 6. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and also streamed the English dub. .
Daisuke Yoshida directed the anime at Studio VOLN and Toshiya Ono oversaw the series' script. Yurie Oohigashi is the character designer and animation director, and Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are composing the music. Rock band UVERworld contributed the opening theme song “Eye's Sentry” and Mulasaki-Ima performed the ending theme song “Gakkyū Nisshi” (Class Diary).
Kazue Katō announced on September 4 that the Blue Exorcist manga would be on hiatus due to post-operative treatment and recovery from an unexpected diagnosis.
Katō launched the Blue Exorcist manga in Jump SQ. in 2009. The manga went on hiatus in July 2021 and resumed in May 2022. The manga has over 25 million copies in circulation.
Viz Media is releasing the manga in English and describes the story:

One day, a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon king Satan flows through Rin's veins! Rin vows to defeat Satan, but doing so means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist herself. Can Rin fight demons and keep her hellish bloodline a secret? It won't be easy, especially since drawing his father's sword will unleash the demonic power within him!
The manga inspired a 25-episode anime television series in 2011, and the Blue Exorcist: Kuro Runs Away From Home OAV also premiered in 2011. The Blue Exorcist film then premiered in Japan in December 2012. The Blue TV anime Exorcist: Kyoto Saga premiered in 2017 and aired 12 episodes.
The series also includes several novels and a series of stage plays.
