Bartender Glass Of God Episode 2 Review and Summary – It's hard to convince Sasakura
Both Miwa and Yukari long to get Sasakura to work for them but things don't go very well. They know that for anyone, especially foreigners, who comes to Japan for the first time, the first person they meet is the bartender. And it was thanks to the bartender that they got their first impression of this country. This is why, as a hotel employee, it is important to hire someone like Sasakura because bartending is not a job that just anyone can do.
Miwa and Yukari then go to Eden Hall to do their work. A second attempt is made to persuade Sasakura to join them, but they discover the bar is closed. We later learn that Sasakura often comes to help his friends at their bar when he closes down Eden Hall. And to his surprise, while serving at another bar, he met Kurushima Taizo, the head of Miwa Hotel. He was there because he was required by ritual to be at that bar every month on the day the previous owner died. The previous owner was his friend and his drinks are something very close to Kurushima's heart.
You would think that with Sasakura there, he would definitely be able to impress this older gentleman with his creations right away. But that didn't happen because whatever concoction Sasakura came up with was quickly deemed bad and harshly criticized by the boss.
How Sasakura overcame him and served him the ideal drink is something you should go see for yourself. But the boss isn't the only difficult customer Sasakura has to deal with. Later, while he was hunted again by Miwa and Yukari to join them at their bar, a woman fleeing the rain approached Eden Hall. Immediately, she was rude and even dismissed Sasakura's profession and called him a bastard. He served her another interesting drink that I had never heard of.
