Upcoming anime’Wind Breaker’ cast welcomes voice actors Shoya Chiba, who will voice Akikiko Nirei. Chiba not only ranked first in Anime Corner’s Summer 2022 Seiyuu Rankings, but also ranked in the top 10 in the 2022 Top Seiyuu Rankings. Chiba is behind some of the most iconic characters in anime, including Ayanokouji Kiyotaka in Classroom of the Elite and Shinei Nouzen in 86.

The anime is based on Wind Breaker by Satoru Nii, which debuted in Kodansha’s Magazine Bag in 2021 and has been collected into 13 volumes as of August 2023. The manga is among those selected by Anime Japan 2022 I want it to be adapted into an anime the most. While there has been no further animation of the cast since the anime was announced with teaser images in March, a “special program” revealing more information will premiere on October 22. Studio CloverWorks will produce animation for the series. Printing of Wind Breaker by North American manga licensor, Kodansha USA, is also expected to launch this fall.
