YouTube channel Idolmaster released an “opening video” for the upcoming The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors anime, with a one-minute video showcasing the various idols and idol groups that will appear on the show.
The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors will begin airing on Japanese television in the spring of 2024. Before that, it will be shown in theaters in advance in a three-part release format. The respective release dates for those seasons are October 27, 2023; November 24, 2023; and January 5, 2024.

The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors is inspired by the game of the same name, in which players take on the role of a new producer at 283 Production who is put in charge of various idols. The anime will include idols from the groups STARS Lighting, L’Antica, Houkago Climax Girls, ALSTROEMERIA, and Straylight. Other characters include 283 Production employee Hazuki Nanakusa (Hibiku Yamamura) and 283 president Tsutomu Amai (Kenjirou Tsuda).
Mankyuu (The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Theatre) will direct the show by Polygon Picturesproduced with Takeshi Iwata (Levitus CG Supervisor et al.) is an assistant director and CG director. Other employees include:

• Series Composer: Youichi Katou (Duel Masters WIN)
• Character designer: Ryouhei Fukushi (Co-designer Kaina of the Great Snow Sea)

The game Idolmaster: Shiny Colors was released on the enza website in 2018 and on Android and iOS in 2019. It is part of The Idolmaster by Bandai Namco Entertainment (stylized as the multimedia brand THE iDOLM@STER ), which started with a 2005 arcade game ported to Xbox 360 in 2007. Another upcoming 3DCG The Idolmaster anime, The Idolmaster Million Live!, will premiere this October.
