Yomu Mishima wrote the light novel I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire (Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoshu!), featuring illustrations by Nadare Takamine. It initially began appearing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in August 2018, while Overlap acquired it in July 2020 and began publishing it in print. There is also a manga adaptation by Kai Nadashima. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed both the light novel and manga in English.
The story is about Liam, a hardworking boy who is reincarnated as an aristocrat on another planet. He is determined not to face betrayal anymore and to focus only on himself, but his new subjects seem to appreciate his attitude.
Studio Quad is also working on the anime NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita, which will premiere in January 2025.
