Following the release of the trailer teasing the “final chapter” of Ragna Crimson, a new key image has been released, highlighting the battle between Ragna and Woltekamui, along with Crimson and Ultimatia in the background. The anime's 23rd episode will air in Japan on March 24, 2024, while the 24-episode series will premiere on October 1, 2023.

Ken Takahashi (Fate/kaleidliner PRISMA ILYA Licht Nameless Girl, assistant director) is directing the anime, with Shinpei Aoki (accessory designer for The Dungeon of Black Company) as character designer and Deko Akao (When Ayumu will act?) is the screenwriter and scriptwriter for the series. SILVER LINK is handling the animation production for the series.

Daiki Kobayashi's dark fantasy manga began serialization in Square Enix's monthly Gangan Joker magazine on March 22, 2017. A total of 13 tankobon volumes have been released as of November 2023. Square Enix's Manga & Books publisher releases the manga in English in North America.

Dragons reign terror over the earth, sea and sky. If sworn dragon hunters like Ragna have any hope of destroying these seemingly invincible, fire-breathing beasts, they must find a way to even the odds. Ragna teams up with a mysterious man named Crimson, who has also sworn to fight the dragons that threaten the world. But though Crimson's motives may be mysterious, his and Ragna's goals are perfectly aligned, and together they will fight to destroy the dragons once and for all.
