The Pokémon Company began streaming a trailer for the fourth season of its Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime, “Rayquaza Rising,” on Friday. The anime’s production team also revealed three cast members for the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet game characters.

This fourth part will start on October 11.
The new installment will feature characters from Kitakami, a location featured in the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet expansion “The Teal Mask.”
The anime premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a one-hour special. The show airs on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST. The anime began its second season, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), with its 29th episode last October in Japan. The anime’s “Terastal Debut” season premiered on April 12.
The Pokémon Company originally announced that the anime would premiere on Netflix in the US on February 23, but the series debuted on March 7 instead. The second season began airing on May 10. The third season premiered on August 9. The fourth season will begin airing on November 22.
The anime features two brand new main characters, named Liko and Roy. The anime features Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, as well as the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its Shiny form. The anime also introduces new characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor and a Pokémon partner duo that fights alongside Liko and Roy.
Saori Den (Mirage Queen Prefers Circus) is directing the anime, and Daiki Tomiyasu (Pokémon Sun & Moon, Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master) is serving as creative director. Dai Satō (Eureka Seven, Wolf's Rain, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop) is supervising the series' scripts. Tetsuo Yajima is the action director, Rei Yamazaki is the character designer, and Kyōko Itō is the supporting character designer. Masafumi Mima is the sound director, and Conisch is composing the music.
