The Elusive Samurai revealed a preview image and staff for episode 11 on Friday. The episode will air on Saturday, September 21, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime. CloverWorks is handling animation production. Fans can check out the preview images below:

The Elusive Samurai anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui, best known for creating Assassination Classroom. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2021 and has since released 172 chapters and 16 volumes. VIZ Media licensed the series for an English release and has published the first 11 volumes. Fans can read the weekly chapters released in English on the official Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps.
The manga won the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award earlier this year, along with titles like Frieren Beyond Journey's End by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, Trillion Game by Riichirou Inagaki, Ryoichi Ikegami, and Suji de Asobo by Murako Kinuta. The Elusive Samurai manga currently has over 2 million copies in circulation.
VIZ Media describes the story as follows:
After his family was massacred by the traitor Ashikaga Takauji, Tokiyuki fled with the help of some loyal retainers who also survived the purge. One of them is Suwa Yorishige, an ally of the Hojo clan and lord of Suwa Province. The somewhat eccentric Yorishige also claims to have clairvoyant abilities and foretells that Tokiyuki will one day become the ruler of Japan. But for now, escaping enemy territory is the top priority!
