The recent promotion for volume 25 of Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga series has caused a craze among fans for the complete resurrection of Gojo Satoru.
Will Gojo finally return?
Jujutsu Kaisen just gave one of the biggest clues about Gojo Satoru’s return in his fight against Sukuna in the manga. This information makes fans restless.
Specifically, when releasing the promotional video for Shonen Jump episode 25 on YouTube, they included an impressive scene of the fight between Gojo and Sukuna, where Gojo was defeated. Interestingly, the video hints at Gojo’s “full revival”, as indicated by the Japanese text displayed at the 2:22 mark.
The video also gives another clue about Gojo’s return
Gojo’s return was also teased by another reference in the music video for the song “Kaikai Kitan” by Eve, the Japanese artist who composed the opening theme for the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. The music video shows Gojo’s eyes chained, followed by a shot of one of his eyes appearing to be destroyed.
This seems to imply that Gojo could sacrifice one eye, for a chance to return, but it’s possible that he would lose his cursed energy. The connection between the chains, Gojo, and the Binding Vow technique, as well as the allusion to the loss of an eye in the manga and anime versions of Jujutsu Kaisen support this theory.
If true, Gojo’s return could soon become a reality, as author Gege Akutami suggested at the recent Jump Festa that Jujutsu Kaisen could end publication within a year.
Additionally, Jump Festa 2024 also brought exciting news for other Shonen Jump series, such as the new Hunter x Hunter fighting game and the trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 3.
