Even among darker Shonen series, Jujutsu Kaisen is famous for its brutal storytelling. Over the years, the series has killed off a number of fan-favorite characters both protagonists and villains. However, it seems that author Gege Akutami has no intention of ending the bloodshed anytime soon.
The manga is currently in its final stages and is about the fight against all the villains. The necromancers were fighting with everything they had, or ready to rush into battle whenever needed.
Character deaths are far from over as the battle continues. Below is a list of 5 characters who will likely die before the manga ends.
5. Choso
The Choso are Yuji’s only remaining family, and that’s more than enough reason to believe he will die horribly in Jujutsu Kaisen. Considering Yuji’s “hobby” of taking the lives of everyone he cares about before him, Gege Akutami suggests that Choso’s death seems more likely. In chapter 246, Choso and Ino attack Sukuna while Higuruma, Kusakabe and Yuji are fighting the villain.
Sukuna literally assassinates Choso, but this chapter does not reveal his condition. It was possible that he would only suffer fatal wounds and be healed by the countertransference technique. However, nothing is certain yet.
4. Uraume
Uraume is one of the villains of Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a reincarnated witch and Sukuna’s loyal subordinate. He is currently fighting Kinji Hakari, while the others are fighting the Curse King.
Uraume may be strong, but a villain’s fate is to die at the hands of those who stand on the side of justice. His fight with Hakari is often pushed aside due to the focus on the necromancers fighting Kenjaku and Sukuna.
3. Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi was sealed the moment Sukuna possessed his body. Gege Akutami has stated that among Gojo and the first year recruits, one of them will survive or only one will die. So far, Nobara and Gojo have sacrificed their lives. Although Nobara’s death has not been officially confirmed, all hints point towards her passing.
Currently, Sukuna has used Megumi’s body to reincarnate in his true form, meaning it is unclear what happened to Megumi. Even though Yuji said he had a plan to save Megumi, that was before Sukuna’s reincarnation. Therefore, Megumi may not survive to the end of the series.
2. Kenjaku
It is natural that the villains will pay for their crimes before the story ends. Kenjaku’s goal is to unite the Japanese population with Master Tengen. But the magicians cannot allow him to do that. Although it may not be Takaba, there are others who can still defeat the user of the ancient curse.
Yuta vows to defeat Kenjaku for Gojo’s sake. He didn’t want his beloved teacher to go through the pain of ending his best friend again. Yuta is also the only special level spellcaster who stands a chance against Kenjaku.
1. Ryomen Sukuna
The undefeated curse king must fall before the manga ends. Now that Sukuna has been reborn, he has unleashed the true extent of his power, easily handling the two strongest witches with ease. However, the war against the strongest is still on and someone must defeat him before he destroys the world.
Although it is unclear which of the spellcasters will defeat him, it is likely that it will be the main character everyone is waiting for. Yuji’s true power is unknown, but he may be the only hope the world has.
