The manga series based on this mysterious author's award-winning debut will launch on June 21

The July issue of Kadokawa's Comic Alive magazine revealed on Monday that Yugo Aosaki's novel Taiikukan no Satsujin (Murder at the School Gym) is inspiring a manga adaptation that will debut on the site Comic Alive+ on June 21.
The novel's story begins with a locked room: the death of the leader of Kazegaoka High's broadcasting club inside his old school's gym, apparently a murder. When everyone starts considering one of the other students as a suspect, she turns to the school's weirdo, an anime otaku who also happens to be an amateur detective, Tenma Urazome.
This novel was Aosaki's full-length debut as a mystery writer, earning him the Ayukawa Tetsuyawa Award for mystery novels in 2012. Aosaki published the follow-up novel Suizokukan no Satsujin (Murder at the Aquarium) in 2013 and the short story collection Kazegaoka Jūendama Matsuri no Nazo (The Mysteries of the Kazegaoka 50 Yen Festival). in 2014. The latest novel in the series came out in 2016, titled Toshokan no Satsujin (Murder at the Library).
Aosaki is the author of the mystery novel series Undead Girl Murder Farce, which debuted in December 2015. Aosaki released the fourth novel in the series on July 14. The manga inspired a series anime television adaptation premiered in July 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series worldwide except Asia when it aired in Japan under the title Deadly Murder Farce.
Haruka Tomoyama launched a manga adaptation of Aosaki's story in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Sirius magazine in June 2016. The manga was transferred to Nemesis magazine in June 2017 and was later republished. posted on the Comic Days website in September 2018. Kodansha published the series. the manga's seventh volume in July 2023. Publisher Kodansha USA licensed the manga adaptation and released the fifth volume on April 16.
