The series will air on July 3 after previews on U-NEXT
TV Tokyo on Tuesday announced that Yuki Fumino's male love manga I Hear the Sunspot (Hidamari ga Kikoeru) will inspire a live-action television series airing on July 3.

This is the first time these two actors have starred in a live-action film on television.
The series will premiere on June 26 on U-NEXT, before releasing on television on July 3. Fūga Yaegashi, Shō Makino and Takanobu Harashima will direct the episodes and Izumi Kawasaki will write script.
One Peace Books published the series in English and describes the story:
Because of his hearing loss, Kōhei is often misunderstood and has difficulty integrating into campus life, so he learns to keep his distance. Until he meets the straightforward and cheerful Taichi. He tells Kōhei that his hearing loss is not his fault. Taichi's words cut through Kōhei's usual defense mechanisms and opened his heart. More than friendship, less than love, their relationship changed Kōhei forever.
I Hear the Sunspot is Fumino's debut work and was serialized in Printemps Shuppan's Canna magazine in 2013. Printemps published a one-volume manga in 2013. October 2014, and released a sequel volume titled I Hear the Sunspot: Theory of Happiness (Hidamari ga Kikoeru: Kōfuku-ron) in May 2016. It received a sequel I Hear the Sunspot: Limit (Hidamari ga Kikoeru: Limit) from 2017- 2020. The third manga series I Hear the Sunspot: Four Seasons (Hidamari ga Kikoeru: Shunkashuutou) launched in 2021. Printemps published the third volume on May 30. One Peace Books published the series in English and published the volume first in April 2023.
The series inspired a live-action film starring Hideya Tawada and Akira Onodera in June 2017.
