Let's see what ANN readers think was the best (and worst) of the season, based on polls you can find in our Daily Stream Reviews section and on the Scores page yours with the latest simulcasts.
Keep in mind that these rankings are based on how people rate individual episodes of the current season, not on the show's overall quality or popularity. Only titles that are legal to stream in North America and popular enough are ranked, so the bottom of the list likely represents 'watchable' rather than 'bad'. See notes for more details.

Ranking the episodes for the week of September 16-22
Along with the actual rankings for this week's episodes, this chart documents the change in placement from week to week. While some shows are stable, others fluctuate wildly in the rankings depending on the strength of each episode. When a series has no episodes in a given week, the previous week's episode is used as a placeholder. The first episode of each series is considered part of the first week, even if it is actually streamed during the second week. Click on the numbers to highlight a specific series.
Cumulative series ratings as of September 22
Each week's ratings take into account the scores of the previous week's episodes. Click on the numbers to highlight a specific series.
Note
Disclaimer: the rankings are only an average of opinions, published for entertainment and information purposes. ANN makes no claims about statistical significance or immunity to spam.
Rankings are calculated using the Paired Ranking Method, with the variation where unranked titles are considered abstentions instead of being lower than ranked titles. This roughly means that if out of all the people who rated both A and B, 60% liked A, then it would be ranked higher than B.
Ranking shows relative quality (A is preferred over B), not absolute quality (B is good/bad). Although the titles are ranked from 'best' to 'worst', sometimes the difference between number 1 and number 10 can be very slim. So if your favorites are near the bottom of the list, don't take it personally. That doesn't mean this is a bad show, it just means that ANN readers generally prefer the above shows.
If a series has no episodes in a given week, we use ratings data for the previous week's episode to calculate weekly rankings. This does not officially count as a position in the rankings (it does not affect cumulative rankings), but it makes it easier to compare weeks if each week has the same number of ranked series.
It should be noted that the long-running series (and its sequels) have the advantage that only people who like the series will watch it, and they are likely to appreciate each episode. But if such a series goes through a period of low-quality filler, the season will have low ratings, which is not a true reflection of the series' true overall quality. Conversely, there are fewer people rating a show, so it's less likely to have enough votes to qualify for a rating.
