The new series focuses on the theme of “rules”

The staff of the Japanese anime Yamishibai: Ghost Story announced on Thursday that the anime is getting a 12th season that will air on TV Tokyo starting in January 2024. The theme of the new season will be “rules.” ”.
The cast in the new season includes: Kanji Tsuda, Ryō Shinoda, Yutaka Shimizu, Ponzu, Jujumaru Honda, Seiyū Yoshida, Asuka Nagatsuki, You Koizumi, Yūka Shidomi, Satoko Tsuchiya and Saori Aoki.
Akira Funada will once again direct the anime at studio ILCA in collaboration with ILCASHIPS. Scenario writers include Hiromu Kumamoto, Mitsuhi Sasagi, Choji Yoshikawa and Saori Aoki. Muto Shoma is writing the script for the series and the animators include Yū Ebihara, Momoka Higurashi, jimmy,”Nishiyama & Rie”, Seidō Kawanabe, Utano Hongo and Tadao Yamagawa (not all Roman names are be confirm).
The short anime series Yamishibai: Original Japanese Ghost Stories features six-minute horror stories based on urban legends in a modern-day setting. The shorts were inspired by illustrated paper stage works (kamishibai) of the Shōwa period.
The anime’s first season premiered in July 2013, and the 11th and most recent season premiered in July.
The project inspired a spin-off, The World Yamizukan, in spring 2017. Crunchyroll aired the previous seasons and The World Yamizukan as they aired. The anime also takes inspiration from the spinoff anime Ninja Collection. The anime premiered in July 2020. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
A live-action anime series premiered in Japan in September 2020. Crunchyroll streamed the series.
