Cartoon “Where will the doomsday train go?” dropped a new trailer this past Sunday, bringing with it exciting news about its expected release in April of this year.
The trailer debuted as a commercial on various Japanese networks. Additionally, illustrator Torimura is set to launch a spin-off in March.
Furthermore, additional information about the anime has surfaced, including details about the voice cast and production team behind it, courtesy of EMT Squared.
It has been confirmed that the anime will hit Japanese television screens through platforms such as Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV and BS11.

The recent trailer, which aired as part of a promotion in Japan, confirmed that the anime will hit theaters in April 2024. Additionally, it was revealed that illustrator Torimura is preparing to published a spin-off manga in March, featuring Akira, the central character. in the series.
The cast is gradually forming with notable names such as Azumi Waki as Nadeshiko Hoshi (Nadeko), Erisa Kuon as Reimi Kuga, Hina Kino voicing Akira Shinonome and Chika Anzai as Shizuru Chikura. Rei Nakashima will lend his voice to the film. with the opening song titled GA-TAN GO-TON.
Behind the scenes, key figures include executive producer Fumihiko Sugarnuma, art director Masanobu Nomura and color designer Tomoko Koyama. Jiro Tazawa was in charge of cinematography, while Yasumasa Koyama and Miho Tsujibayashi focused on color design and music, respectively.
What will happen from where will the doomsday train go?
Set in a peculiar small town full of strange occurrences, “Where Does the Doomsday Train Go?” revolves around the determined main character, Shizuru Chikura. Her driving motivation is to reunite with her lost friend before the situation worsens.
To complete this mission, Shizuru and three companions embark on an adventure on an abandoned train to explore the outside world and pursue their goals.
The project will start in October 2022, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Japan’s railway.
